Clean Energy Council Guidelines
To assist CEC-accredited installers and designers in interpreting the relevant Australian Standards when installing and designing solar and battery storage systems to the highest standard, the Clean Energy Council produces design and installation guidelines.
The guidelines set requirements that must be followed by CEC-accredited installers. They are not the ultimate set of rules and must be read in conjunction with all relevant Australian Standards.
The guidelines contain practical design and installation information as well as your responsibilities to those you work with and your customers.
Where the guidelines have additional requirements above those stated in the Australian Standards, follow the guidelines.
Grid-connected-solar-pv-systems-install-and-supervise-guidelines-for-accredited-installers-v13-2019 – Mandatory from 29 June 2019
Clean Energy Council Battery install guidelines for accredited installers – Mandatory 1 November , 2017 until superseded by AS/NZS 5139:2018
30-100 kW grid connected solar PV systems: No battery storage, design guidelines for accredited installers – Mandatory from 1 July 2016
Grid-connected-solar-pv-systems-design-guidelines-2013 Mandatory from February 2013
