Enphase Energy was founded in March 2006 by Raghu Belur and Martin Fornage in California USA. In June 2008, Enphase Energy introduced the worlds first microinverter system and by September 2011 had reached a major milestone of shipping one million microinverters. In December 2011 Enphase went global reaching France and Italy and other countries followed soon after. In March 2012, Enphase Energy was listed on the NASDAQ and in July 2013 introduced the fourth generation technology and the M250 microinverter. Enphase has shipped over 16 million microinverters with operations in 21 countries.
In 2012 Enphase entered the Australian Market with their Generation 3 microinverter system. The introduction was very successful and the impact was immediate with many Australian solar installers realising the benefits of AC Solar technology in providing a safer, more reliable solar system that provides improved performance and the ability to provide future upgrades for customers. The take-up in Australia has also been rapid with over 1,000,000 Enphase microinverters installed including all major centres – Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Hobart and regional locations.

The Enphase AC Battery can be easily installed on any solar system or where there is no solar system at all, making the most of low-cost time-of-use tariffs. The AC battery can be installed on an existing solar system without having to upgrade the inverter. Batteries can be easily added in future should storage requirements increase or new models become available.
