The Stackable Home Battery (BAT-05K48): Modular Storage Redefined - NOW CEC APPROVED!
The new SolarEdge Stackable Home Battery (BAT-05K48) offers exceptional modularity, efficiency, and scalability for 3-phase power solutions:
- The battery operates at 48V low voltage and features a stackable modular design, allowing you to connect up to five battery modules in parallel per inverter.
- Each module provides 4.6 kWh of usable energy, allowing a single Home Hub system to reach a maximum capacity of 23 kWh.
- The system uses DC-coupling technology, which stores excess PV power directly in the battery without multiple AC conversions, resulting in a high round-trip efficiency of up to 95.4%.
- It supports plug-and-play installation and automatic configuration via the SetApp, streamlining on-site work and reducing time spent commissioning.
- The unit is IP65 rated and is backed by a 10-year product warranty.
The SolarEdge Home Battery (BAT-05K48) is a Li-Ion-LFP battery type, communicating with the inverter via CAN bus. Its installation is streamlined by a simple plug-and-play process with automatic configuration using the SetApp. The module weighs 54.7 kg and has dimensions of 540 x 500 x 240 mm (W x H x D). It utilizes natural convection for cooling and produces minimal noise, measured at less than 25 dBA at 1 meter distance. This battery is specifically designed to work with the SolarEdge Home Hub Universal Inverter (SE10K-RWB48).

The SolarEdge Home Hub Universal 3-Phase 10kW Inverter (SE10K-RWB48) is the intelligent heart of the system, offering powerful performance and integrated safety features:

The Home Hub Universal Inverter boasts high operational efficiency, with PV to Grid Peak Efficiency reaching 98% and European Weighted Efficiency at 97.6%. For installation flexibility, it is IP65 rated for outdoor and indoor use and weighs 37 kg. Standard communication interfaces include 2 x RS485, Ethernet, and the SolarEdge Home Network. In terms of grid compliance, the inverter meets the AS/NSZ 4777.2:2020 standard.
