RPEQ Design Certification Report (DCR) with an RPEQ Certified Single Line Diagram and Compliance Report up to and including 30kVA

From 18th December 2021 onwards, Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) require the following:

Negotiated connections for aggregated capacities of up to and including 30 kVA have been added to the scope of Energy Queensland’s other connection standards as follows:

Applications for negotiated connections up to and including 30 kVA covered under STNW1174 will be required to meet additional compliance requirements aligned with existing process for connecting an application under STNW1174. Proponents will be required to declare they have a DCR with an RPEQ certified single line diagram as well as an RPEQ certified Compliance Report.

At this stage, the Proponent will not be required to attach this documentation to the Application, they will however, need to provide the following declaration as an attachment or note within the Application on the DNSP Portal:

“The Proponent declares the design and the commissioning for the EG installation has or will be carried out under engineering supervision by a Registered Professional Engineering of Queensland (RPEQ). A copy of these RPEQ certified design and commissioning records shall be made available to the DNSP on request. The installation complies with the requirements of STNW1174.”

Design Certification Report (DCR) including RPEQ certified single line diagram

This report must be prepared by an RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland). The aim of the report is to demonstrate to Energy Queensland the DESIGN complies with AS/NZS3000, AS/NZS3100, AS/NZS5033, AS/NZS4777.1, AS/NZS4777.2 and Standards for Connection of Embedded Generating Systems the Energy Queensland Network (STNW1174 or STNW1175 or STNW3512), plus any special requirements for the particular site.

The report includes detailed design information including Protection Line Diagram, Steady State Voltage calculation (voltage rise calculation), product specifications and certificates of suitability.

It is the installer’s responsibility to install the solar system as per the Design Certification Report.

Compliance Report (CR)

This report must be prepared by an RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland). The aim of the report is to demonstrate to Energy Queensland the COMPLETED INSTALLATION complies with AS/NZS3000, AS/NZS3100, AS/NZS5033, AS/NZS4777.1, AS/NZS4777.2 and Standards for Connection of Embedded Generating Systems the Energy Queensland Network (STNW1174 or STNW1175 or STNW3512), plus any special requirements for the particular site.

The report includes detailed design information including Protection Line Diagram, product specifications and certificates of suitability.

A site inspection and testing of the solar system is required under RPEQ Engineering Supervision.  The RPEQ is certifying the “installed” solar system is compliant with standards listed above.
